The Corporate Shield

It is a Cross of Malta, red colour on white background, whose central area shows the legend ‘Rex Sum Ego’ (I Am The King). Since His Majesty the King, Juan Carlos I, Honorary Major Brother, granted to the title and consideration of Royal Brotherhood, in 1991, a Royal Crown appaers on the upper part of the Corporate Shield.

The first Standing Rules established, ‘The Nazarenes will wear white tunics, with violet satin hood, cord pending from their neck and falling until  half their legs, and girdle, old gold colour, both; white socks and sandals’. Notwithstanding, the complete uniform changed soon to become the same that nowadays is still being used, which is: white tunic, red mask of flat, white cape and gloves; red girdle, buttons and socks; white franciscan sandals. The brothers also wear the Fraternity Medal pending from their neck.

The Brothers charged to carry the float do not wear mask and children’ brothers do not wear mask nor cape.

The shield is embroidered on the left side of the cape and on the front of the mask. The Nazarenes  carry, throughout the procession, white wax candles and crosses, alternatively.
